Lone Star Float House - FAQ's
Are there age restrictions for floating?
Yes! We do not allow anyone under the age of 4 to go tubing due to safety restrictions. Ages 4-6 are required to wear a life jacket and walk around the tube chute. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to go tubing without someone 18 or older to accompany them. If you are 16 or 17, you may go by yourselves, but only if a parent/ guardian is there to give consent when filling out the tubing contract.

How does this work?
When you arrive, you will be asked to pay the parking fee by a parking attendant (we take cash and card) and will be given wristbands and a parking slip. You will then be showed where to park. If you are here to float on a weekday, go upstairs to the restaurant where you will be helped pay for tubing. If you are here on a weekend, we will have someone downstairs under a tent to help you with tubing. Once everything is filled out, you will be handed a tubing slip which will have where you’re being shuttled up to and how many tubes you need. When you (and your entire group) is ready to get on the bus, hang your slip to one of the guys downstairs and they will load your tubes and tell you which bus to get on. You will be shuttled up the river and will tube back down to us.

Why do we have to sign a paper?
The paper you sign before going on your tubing trip is to help ensure your safety. Everyone 18 or older must sign it as a way to acknowledge that you are responsible for yourself on the river and that there is potential danger when floating, such as rapids.
